'Banda is being destroyed through a conspiracy': Akhilesh Yadav attacks BJP

Lucknow, May 18 (UNI) Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav Monday, launched a scathing attack on the BJP government over alleged illegal mining in Banda.
In an emotional appeal to the "people of Banda," Akhilesh Yadav, through a post on his social media, claimed that Banda is being destroyed through ruthless mining.
Akhilesh Yadav alleged that due to the mining being carried out by today's ''money-hungry BJP government and its greedy contractors, Banda is being wiped out''. This "natural oppression" has severely affected the local production cycle.

Uttarakhand to be declared fully literate state; govt to bear partial insurance cost of mules used on pilgrimage tracks

Dehradun, Jun 18 (UNI) Uttarakhand's Pushkar Singh Dhami government has decided to declare the state fully literate, with the cabinet's formal approval on Thursday.
