'Bridgerton' season 4 offers blooming romance between Benedict and Sophie

London, Oct 13 (UNI) Season 4 of "Bridgerton" is set to debut with four episodes on January 29, 2026, followed by a second block of four episodes on February 26, showcasing the tantalising romance between Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
"With each passing season, one is known to experience plenty of ups and downs," Lady Whistledown muses in the teaser. "So then we must ask ourselves, do we rise to the occasion? As always, time and this author will tell."
Season 4 shifts the spotlight to the charismatic and hesitant second son, Benedict Bridgerton. While his elder and younger brothers have embraced the contentment of matrimony, Benedict remains wary of love, until a mysterious lady in Silver captures his attention during his mother's opulent masquerade. That "Lady in Silver" is Sophie.
In the novel, she is the daughter of an earl and one of his maids. Though she was brought up in his house out of a sense of responsibility, he never claimed her as his kin and allowed her to suffer quite a troubling upbringing at the hands of her stepmother and stepsisters.
Though Benedict's search for a love match is the subject of the third novel, the TV series made a change in the order with Season 3 taking on the fourth book instead, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, which spotlights the romance between Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton, and Penelope Featherington, played by Nicola Coughlan, reports DEADLINE.
Newton and Coughlan are expected to return as series regulars for Season 4 along with Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Victor Alli (Lord John Stirling), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Julie Andrews (Lady Whistledown) and Lorraine Ashbourne (Mrs. Varley)Additional key characters returning are Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), Isabella Wei (Posy Li), Michelle Mao (Rosamund Li), and Katie Leung (Lady Araminta Gun).
