Lucknow, Feb 22 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Monday criticized the budget presented by the ruling Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh.
In a series of tweets, Ms Mayawati said, "The budget presented by the BJP government in the UP Assembly today is extremely disappointing, especially in terms of ending the cruelty of unemployment in the state, like the Central government. An attempt has been made to show promises and beautiful dreams to the public in the UP budget like that of the Union government."
Further, she said, "The record of the UP government, as far as the fulfillment of the longing for development of about 23 crore people of UP is concerned, has not been satisfactory as per the promise despite the same party ruling at the Centre and the state. UP's budget is extremely disappointing, especially in the case of the problems pertaining to the poor, weaker sections and the farmers."
