'Ghar Ghar Naukari' via PSPCL robust initiative: CMD Prasad

Chandigarh, Feb 27 (UNI) Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) CMD A. Venu Prasad on Saturday said the Corporation is performing a fundamental role for powering the wheels of progress in the state besides making enormous contribution in the implementation of the Ghar Ghar Naukari (Job to every household) an initiative of the state government.
Mr Prasad said in order to provide better facilities to consumers, PSPCL has recruited 10378 employees in the past four years. "The PSPCL has given jobs to 7866 technical employees of 17 different categories and 2512 non technical employees of 10 different categories", he said.
Pointing out further, the CMD said recently PSPCL had advertised 2632 posts of five different categories including 1700 assistant linemen. He said the recruitment process for the appointment of these posts will start in near future.

Dehradun, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttarakhand has witnessed an average voter turnout of 24.83 per cent for five Lok Sabha seats till 11am on Friday,
Excluding the Nainital constituency, voting percentages in the other four constituencies have surpassed those of the 2019 elections within the same timeframe, which recorded 23.59 per cent turnout by Friday midday.
