'Honey-trap bride' arrested in Kanpur for multi-crore blackmail racket

Kanpur, Nov 18 (UNI) A woman identified as Divyanshi was arrested for allegedly running an elaborate honey-trap and blackmail racket that targeted more than a dozen people, including bank officials, government employees, and police officers, Kanpur police said on Tuesday.
The case came to light after Sub-Inspector Aditya Kumar Lochav, posted at Gwalatoli police station, lodged a complaint alleging that he had been duped and extorted by his wife, Divyanshi. Police said his complaint exposed a series of similar incidents involving the accused.
According to police reports, Divyanshi would allegedly lure men into relationships and then accuse them of rape to extort large sums of money. Investigators claim she previously married two bank managers and later filed rape cases against both, though she reportedly retracted her statements during court proceedings.
