New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) Despite being pitted against the big budget and star studded 'Fitoor', the Yami Gautam-Pulkit Samrat starrer 'Sanam Re' has stolen a march over the Katrina Kaif-Aditya Roy Kapoor starrer on the opening day. Despite its low hype and a release on fewer screens compared to 'Fitoor', 'Sanam Re' had collections of Rs 5.04 crore on its opening day while Fitoor earned Rs 3.54 crore, trade sources said. Produced by T Series and directed by Divya Khosla Kumar (who earlier directed the hit film Yaariyan) 'Sanam Re' is touted as a 'classical love story' featuring Yami and Pulkit in lead roles. It is a film made on a low budget of Rs 15 crore. Fitoor, on the other hand is a film featuring a big star cast of Katrina, Aditya and Tabu. Directed by Adhishek Kapoor, the film , inspired by Charles Dickens's novel 'Great expectations' , has been made on a huge budget of Rs 70 crore. Both the films have got mixed reviews from critics.
