'Unity mantra', nucleus of India: PM

New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) Describing incidents of atrocities on the underprivileged sections as a 'blot' on the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said it was the responsibility of one and all to strengthen the 'linkages' that bind the country and make the mantra of unity, the nucleus of India.
In an attempt to allay the fears among the minority community, the Prime Minister, during his reply to a debate in the Rajya Sabha on the 'Commitment to the Constitution', as part of the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr B R Ambedkar, assured that ''no one ever doubts anybody's 'deshbhakti' (patriotism) in our country . One does not need to produce a certificate to prove it''.
Reaching out to the Opposition to seek its support for the functioning of the Government, Mr Modi said, ''The country can not run on the basis of bickering. It can run only when we all walk together. ''
