10 killed, 37 injured as bus plunges into ravine in southern Peru

Lima, Aug 12 (UNI) At least 10 people were killed and 37 others injured in southern Peru on Sunday night when a passenger bus plunged some 200 meters into a ravine in Sandia province, Puno region, local police said Monday.
The bus was traveling from the city of Juliaca to San Pedro de Putina Punco District when it plunged into the Inambari River.
Local police rescued 37 passengers trapped in the vehicle's wreckage, who were later taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Negotiations aim to defend National interests, do not mean surrender: Pezeshkian

Tehran, May 10 (UNI) Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday that the very basis of engaging in negotiations with the United States is to secure the country’s rights and firmly defend national interests, asserting that dialogue should not be interpreted as “surrender or retreat.”
