150 places cleaned under` Ek Tariq- Ek Ghante ‘programme in Kakinada

Kakinada, Oct 1(UNI) As many as 150 public places including tank bunds in Kakinada city were cleaned of weeds and garbage by elected peoples representatives , officials, voluntary organization members and students under the central government’s ` Swachata-hi-Seva ‘ and Ek Tariq- Ek Ghante programme here on Sunday. Municipal commissioner Ch Naga Narasimharao has supervised the clean up drive programme himself personally sweeping the garbage taking up broom stick.
As many as 150 places were cleared off the garbage including Boat club, Annamma tank, Santha cheruvu, pindala cheruvu.
Municipal commissioner said three areas in each division in corporation limits were selected for cleaning.
