1800 workers rendered jobless after Rheabari in Dooars abandoned garden

Siliguri, Dec 3 (UNI) Nearly 1800 workers were rendered jobless overnight after the management of the Rheabari tea gardening the North Bengal's Dooars region abandoned its office without any prior notice, official sources said on Sunday.
The workers came to know this unpleasant happening when they had gone to report on duty on Friday and found the main gate was locked and key.
The Rheabari tea garden is located at Binaguri in the Jalpaiguri district. The workers and their family members then searched the area to find out the managerial staff but none of them was found in the region. The closure of the garden without any notice is anti-labour act, which rendered nearly 1800 poor workers jobless, which would affect the poor members of the family.
