230 KGs of ganja worth Rs 30 lakh seized, 5 arrested

Vijayawada, Aug 10 (UNI)Police have seized 230 kg of ganja worth around Rs 30 lakh while being taken to Tamil Nadu in two cars and arrested five persons at Khaja toll gate plaza.
SEB Additional SP Venkateswarulu told the media in Mangalagiri near here on Saturday that on a tip a police team conducted a checking of vehicles at the Kjaja toll plaza on Friday night and seized the ganja.
The police team found 230 KG of ganja, worth approximately Rs 30 lakh, in the two cars. The haul was neatly packed in packets and was taken to Tamil Nadu illegally.
