Bhubaneswar, Dec 3 (UNI) As many as 34 Leopards died in Odisha in the last five years Odisha Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change Ganesh Ram Khuntia told the state Assembly on Tuesday.
Replying to a question from Tara Prasad Bahinipati (Cong), the Minister said the Leopards were killed from 2019-20 to 2024-25, (till November 26,2024)
The Minister said of the 34 Leopards 17 died due to poaching, three were electrocuted, one died in train accident, three in a road accident, three due to disease, and four died naturally.
