46 criminal cases filed against seeds companies for selling bogus soybean seeds to farmers, Agriculture Dept to HC

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jul 13 (UNI) The Agriculture department on Monday told the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay high court that they have filed 46 criminal cases and issued show-cause notices to 53 seeds companies for allegedly selling bogus soybean seeds to the farmers of Aurangabad division.
This was submitted by joint director of Agriculture of Aurangabad division, D L Jadhav, who appeared before the high court in a case of sale of bogus soybean seeds to the farmers.
It may be noted that the bench, comprising Justices T V Nalawade and Shrikant Kulkarni, had on July 7 directed him to appear before the court today.
