64th Subroto Cup to kick-off on Aug 19

New Delhi, Aug 12 (UNI) The prestigious Subroto Cup International Football Tournament, will kick-off its 64th Edition with 106 teams, vying for top honours across three categories, Junior Boys and Girls and Sub-Junior Boys.
The tournament scheduled to be hosted across New Delhi NCR and Bengaluru from 19th August to 25th September.
An official announcement to this effect, was made at a press-event at the Akash Officer’s Mess here in the national capital, in the presence of Air Marshal S Sivakumar VSM, Air Officer--Charge Administration & Vice Chairman, Subroto Mukherjee Sports Education Society (SMSES), who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Indian Footballer Dalima Chhibber also graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

Australia beat South Africa in Women’s T20 World Cup

Manchester, June 13 (UNI) The Australian cricket team began its Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a convincing 65-run victory over South Africa at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground here on Saturday.
Phoebe Litchfield top-scored for Australia with a 24-ball 50, while Georgia Wareham was the pick of their bowlers after finishing with figures of 3/13. Laura Wolvaardt (44 off 39) was the Proteas’ best batter.
