81 new coronavirus cases detected, tally reaches 7974 in Bihar

Patna, Jun 23 (UNI) With detection of 81 new cases, the tally of coronavirus positive cases increased to 7974 in Bihar so far.
State Health Department sources said here today that according to the test report maximum number of 30 cases were reported in Samastipur followed by Banka with 9, Aurangabad, Patna and Vaishali 5 each, Lakhisarai, Madhubani, Siwan and Supaul 4 each, Bhagalpur 3, Jamui and Madhepura 2 each and Bhojpur, Darbhanga, Jehanabad and Saran 1 each.
These cases include 19 females.

Patna, Apr 19 (UNI) Despite best efforts made by Election Commission and appeals from top leaders and celebrities, poll percentage in first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Bihar could reach only 48.23 per cent, which is 5.24 per cent less than polling of 2019 general elections in the state.
