9 devotees killed in stampede in AP temple

Srikakulam, Nov 1 (UNI) The auspicious Ekadashi worship of Lord Venkateswra Swamy in a temple turned tragic as 9 devotees, including 8 women and a boy, were killed in a stampede that took place on the premises of Sri Venkateswara temple at Kashibugga village.
Government of Andhra Pradesh announced that seven women died on the spot while two persons died in hospital.
District collector Swapnal Dinakar Pundkar said that the deceased were identified as Yeduri Chinnammi (50), Rapaka Vijaya (48), Muripinti Neelamma (60), Duvvu Rajeswari (60), Chinni Yashoda (56), Roopa, Dokkara Brundavati (62), Dokkara Ammadamma and Lotla Nikhal (13).
