New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) His much awaited film 'Manjhi-The Mountain Man' may have been leaked online a week before its release but Bollywood’s new 'acting powerhouse' Nawazuddin Siddiqui is unfazed. The actor feels that a film of a huge scale like 'Manjhi' should only be watched on a big screen.
''A film like 'Manjhi-The Mountain Man', made on a huge scale, cannot be watched on a small mobile or computer screen.
Visuals like a person standing in front of a mountain are worth seeing only on a giant screen not a laptop or mobile screen,'' Nawazuddin said, while promoting his film, which will hits the screens on August 21.
He said the wide range of emotions that the film offers can be enjoyed only on the big screen.
Nawazuddin’s co-star Radhika Apte also endorsed his view.
"I'm confident that when people watch it on smaller screens, they'll feel that the film is such, that it is meant to be watched only on the big screen. So, the audiences should go to the theater and watch it."
It is notable that even before its release, the full version of the film was leaked online a week ago.
Talking about the film, the actor said it is a film that has been made with a lot of passion.
Describing it as a the most challenging role of his career, Nawazuddin said, ''Manjhi was a person who was passionate about his mission of life. In order to get a peek into his thoughts and ideologies, I spend a lot of time with his son.''
''However, to essay the role of a person like him possessed with a madness about his purpose in life was a huge challenge,'' he added.
Directed by Ketan Mehta, 'Manjhi' also The film, which also features Radhika Apte as Manjhi’s wife.
Manjhi - The Mountain Man is a biopic based on Dashrath Manjhi, who lived in Gehlaur village in Gaya, Bihar.
