A.K. Antony warns new Kerala CM, sounds alarm over Kerala’s fiscal state

Thiruvananthapuram, May 14 (UNI) Senior Congress leader A. K. Antony has issued a cautionary message to Kerala Chief Minister-designate V. D. Satheesan, warning that governing the state in its present financial condition will be extremely challenging and may necessitate unpopular and difficult decisions.
Antony made the remarks when Satheesan visited him shortly after being chosen as the Chief Minister.
During the meeting, he congratulated the leadership decision taken by the Congress High Command under the guidance of Sonia Gandhi, with Rahul Gandhi and the party president finalising Satheesan’s name. Antony expressed full support for the decision and conveyed his hope that the next five years would mark a “golden era” for Kerala.
