AAP alleges political vendetta after ED arrests Goa co-incharge Deepak Singla

New Delhi, May 18 (UNI): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today arrested Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa Co-incharge Deepak Singla and conducted searches at multiple locations in Delhi and Goa, prompting sharp reactions from senior party leaders ahead of the Goa Assembly elections.
Reacting to the development, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal alleged that Singla was targeted for political reasons and claimed that opposition leaders refusing to join the BJP were facing action from central agencies. He also referred to Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora, describing him as “brave and patriotic.”
AAP Goa Incharge and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Atishi, accused the BJP-led Central government of misusing investigative agencies against opposition parties. She alleged that the ED action was aimed at targeting AAP leaders involved in strengthening the party organisation in Goa ahead of the Assembly polls scheduled next year.
