AAP challenges BJP to declare CM face for Delhi

AAP challenges BJP to declare CM face for Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday challenged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to declare its Chief Ministerial face for Delhi and clarify its stance to the people of the National Capital.
Addressing a press conference, Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, “Just a few days ago, the party's Chief Ministerial face, Arvind Kejriwal, had openly challenged BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri. Kejriwal had questioned Bidhuri about his vision for Delhi and his plans for the city. He also expressed his willingness to debate with Ramesh Bidhuri on a public platform.”
“Ramesh Bidhuri is considered the strongest and most prominent contender for the Chief Ministerial post within the BJP. He possesses all the qualifications required to become the party’s Chief Ministerial candidate,” Singh further added.
The AAP leader added that Ramesh Bidhuri has reportedly claimed that he is not the BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate. If that is the case, the BJP should clarify who their candidate is.
“If Ramesh Bidhuri is not the face, then who is the groom in BJP's wedding procession? Where is the BJP heading with a procession without a groom? What does the BJP intend to convey to the people of Delhi by doing this? This is a dangerous situation where elections will be held, but the people of Delhi will not even know who the BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate is," Singh questioned.
