ADB to support Odisha’s inclusive sustainable urban growth

Bhubaneswar, Oct 14 (UNI) The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has expressed its willingness to extend technical and financial support to Odisha beyond urban development and mobility, covering allied sectors such as commerce and transport to promote inclusive and sustainable growth in the state.
A delegation from ADB, comprising Sougat Dasgupta and Abhisek Mukharjee, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to a long-term partnership with the Odisha government.
According to official sources, joint committees will be formed by the state government and ADB for effective monitoring, data-driven decision-making, and integrated project management to ensure faster, smarter, and more transparent implementation of urban initiatives.

Arguments on Sonam bail case conclude, Meghalaya HC lists matter for June 9

Shillong, June 8 (UNI) The Meghalaya High Court today heard the arguments of both against and in defence of Sonam Raghuvanshi, prime accused in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, and listed the matter for Tuesday.
The single bench of Justice Wanlura Diengdoh heard the argument of S. Thapa, the legal counsel for Sonam, who has concluded his argument, challenging the criminal petition filed by the State government seeking revocation of the bail granted to Sonam by a lower court.
