Ahan Shetty debuts first look from ‘Border 2’ war film

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) T-Series and JP Films have unveiled the first look of Ahan Shetty from ‘Border 2’ on its official Instagram handle, highlighting the film’s expanded focus to include the Indian Navy, alongside the Army and Air Force.
The poster showcases Shetty as a Navy officer in combat, blood streaked across his face and armed for battle. This follows earlier character reveals for Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh, the latter portraying an Indian Air Force officer.
Ahan Shetty, son of actor Suniel Shetty, made his debut with the action-romance Tadap (2021), earning the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Male. ‘Border 2’ marks his second major film, with a horror project lined up next.
The original Border (1997), set in 1971, starred Deol and chronicled the heroic defense of Longewala, where a small Indian battalion faced a much larger Pakistani force. It remains a landmark in Indian war cinema.
Directed by Anurag Singh, who previously helmed Kesari (2019) based on the Battle of Saragarhi, ‘Border 2’ features a star-studded cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa.
The production is backed by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, under T-Series and JP Films, and presented by Gulshan Kumar in association with J.P. Dutta’s banner.
‘Border 2’ is scheduled for release on January 23, 2026, strategically timed for the Republic Day weekend, a prime slot for patriotic films in India.
