AIMIM chief Owaisi targets RSS and BJP in Sambhajinagar; links Bangladeshi claims to governance failure

Ch. Sambhajinagar, Jan 13 (UNI) All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi has questioned the role of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in India’s freedom struggle and accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of misusing historical narratives for political gain ahead of the municipal corporation elections scheduled on January 15.
Addressing a public rally in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Owaisi alleged that the Sangh’s founder KB Hedgewar had not been imprisoned for opposing British rule but for supporting the Khilafat movement. He questioned whether any RSS leader had been jailed for actively fighting the British and claimed that the organisation’s role in the freedom movement was being misrepresented.
The AIMIM chief rejected allegations about the presence of Bangladeshi migrants in the region and said that if any such migrants were found, it would reflect a failure of the government led by Narendra Modi. He accused the BJP of raising such claims to advance its Hindutva agenda and divert attention from shortcomings in governance.
