Ali Fazal wraps final schedule of 'Lahore 1947'

Mumbai, Dec 15 (UNI) Bollywood actor Ali Fazal has wrapped up the last leg of shooting for "Lahore 1947", the upcoming period drama produced by Aamir Khan Productions and helmed by celebrated filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi.
He also recently completed the Mumbai and Varanasi schedules of "Mirzapur: The Movie". Ali is showcasing his dedication to powerful and diverse stories, juggling multiple major projects simultaneously.
"Lahore 1947" stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, and Shabana Azmi. The period drama is set against the backdrop of the Partition of India.
Reflecting on the completion of the shoot, Ali described the experience as emotionally engaging. “Wrapping up Lahore 1947 was an emotional process for me,” he said.
“The film was very different from my previous work and required a deeper engagement with both the historical setting and the emotional layers of the story.”
He also spoke about working with the film’s director and cast, calling it a valuable learning experience. “Working under Rajkumar Santoshi’s direction was incredibly enriching,” Ali elaborated. “Sharing screen space with senior actors like Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, and Shabana Azmi was something I truly valued.”
Ali further noted that the role demanded sustained effort on multiple levels. The film required a lot from him, both emotionally and physically, and he is grateful for the opportunity.
