Alla Nani resigns as YSRCP district President

Eluru, Aug 9 (UNI) The Opposition YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh suffered another blow on Friday as its senior leader, former Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Alla Kalikrishna Srinivas Nani resigned as district party President.
Alla Nani also resigned from the Assembly constituency in-charge post. In his resignation letter to the YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Alla Nani said that due to personal reasons, he wanted to stay away from active politics. He contested the Assembly unsuccessfully in the 2024 elections.
Alla Nani entered politics in 1990 through the Youth Congress and was considered to be a close associate of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He contested unsuccessfully as a Congress candidate in 1999 from the Eluru Assembly constituency.
