Amid opposition outcry, Assam publishes final electoral rolls after SIR

Guwahati, Feb 10 (UNI) Amid the allegation of manipulation of voters list by the Opposition parties, Assam on Tuesday published the final electoral rolls which included 2,49,58,139 voters eligible to cast their votes in the forthcoming assembly elections.
The State Election Office Assam on Tuesday published the final voter list for the 126 legislative assembly constituencies in Assam. A statement issued by the Chief Election officer Assam on Tuesday said that there are a total of 2,49,58, 139 voters in Assam, who are eligible to cast their votes in the forthcoming assembly elections scheduled this year.
The statement said that out of the total electorates 1,24,75,583 are females while the number of male voters are 1,24,82,213. The final electoral rolls also registered 343 electors from third gender.

Bengal: STF raid finds illegal firearms, ammunition hidden in ponds in Sandeshkhali
