Andhra: 3 of a family among 5 killed in two road accidents

Vijayawada, Aug 9 (UNI) Three members of a family were among five people killed in two road accidents which took place on Saturday in Prakasam and East Godavari districts in Andhra Pradesh, police said.

Sources said10 members of a family were going to hill the shrine Tirumala in a van from Kota Ganeshunipadu village in Palnadu district. Their van collided with a lorry at Chakicherla village of Machavaram mandal, killing Nambula Venkata Narasamma (55), Nambula Subhishini (30) and Abhiram (3). Five persons were injured in the accident and they were admitted to the Area hospital in Kavali. The condition of two of the injured was said to be critical, sources said.
