Andhra govt's policies anti-farmer: TDP

Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), June 4 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Sunday accused the Andhra Pradesh's YSRCP government of pursuing its "anti–farmer" policies and alleged that the peasants were resorting to distress sell of their paddy and even committing suicides because of high debts.
"The state government is pursuing anti-farmer policies. Farmers are left in the lurch. They are forced to sell away their paddy losing Rs.300 on each bag.
"They are also being forced to commit suicides after having run huge debts," senior TDP leader and former state Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa told mediapersons here.
