AP MA&UD Principal Secretary Directs GVMC to Prioritise Sanitation, Speed Up Infra Works

Visakhapatnam, May 15 (UNI) S. Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department, on Friday directed officials of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) to accord top priority to city sanitation and expedite the completion of Working Women’s Hostels and Bhogapuram Airport connectivity road works.
Along with GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg and senior officials, he inspected sanitation works in Pedagantyada-1 and Swatantra Nagar under Ward No. 76 in Gajuwaka, the under-construction Working Women’s Hostel at Gajuwaka, and the Bhogapuram Airport connectivity road development works from Juttada to Vepagunta and from Vepagunta to Pinagadi in Pendurthi Zone.
During the inspection, Suresh Kumar reviewed door-to-door garbage collection, road and drain cleanliness, and interacted with residents regarding the regular movement of CLAP vehicles for waste collection.
