Apollo Tyres emerges fastest climber in Global Brand Strength Rankings for 2026

Kochi, June 9 (UNI) Leading tyre manufacturer Apollo Tyres Ltd has emerged as the fastest climber in the 2026 Global Tyre Brand Strength rankings released by brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance, registering a significant improvement in its global brand standing driven by strategic marketing initiatives, sports sponsorships and product innovation.
According to Brand Finance's latest assessment of the world's strongest and most valuable tyre brands, Apollo Tyres climbed from the 13th position in 2025 to the 6th position in 2026 in the Brand Strength Index (BSI), making it the biggest mover in the rankings this year.
Brand Finance, which conducts the only tyre-sector-specific global brand analysis compliant with ISO 20671 standards, evaluates brands on factors such as marketing investment, stakeholder perceptions and their impact on business performance.
The study draws on extensive market research and publicly available information, with brands assessed primarily in their key operating markets.
Apollo Tyres recorded a Brand Strength Index score of 80.59 out of 100 in 2026, a substantial increase from 66.63 in the previous year. The report highlighted a notable rise in consumer awareness and perception of the brand, with familiarity increasing by 15.8 per cent and understanding of the brand improving by 26.4 per cent.
The company attributed the growth in brand strength to its sustained investments in product innovation, customer engagement programmes, expansion of distribution networks and strategic marketing efforts across international markets.
A major contributor to the enhanced brand visibility has been Apollo Tyres' association with Indian cricket. In September 2025, the company became the lead sponsor of the Indian cricket team, securing title sponsorship rights for all home international matches involving both the men's and women's teams, as well as domestic tournaments organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
Under the agreement, the Apollo Tyres logo features prominently on the front and leading arm of the official Team India jersey.
Commenting on the achievement, Udyan Ghai said the latest rankings provide important independent validation of the company's global marketing efforts.
He noted that Apollo Tyres remains focused on delivering greater value to customers through new products, enhanced services and improved accessibility while continuing to strengthen the brand's presence in markets around the world.
The improved ranking underscores Apollo Tyres' growing global recognition and reflects the effectiveness of its brand-building initiatives in an increasingly competitive international tyre market.
