Army Chief visits Western Command to review operational preparedness

New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi on Friday visited the Western Command and reviewed the operational preparedness of the Army.
According to the Army, General Dwivedi visited the Western Command headquarters in Chandimandir. Army Commander Western Command, Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, briefed the Army Chief on operational, training, logistics and administrative aspects of the command.
The Army Commander highlighted the Army's modernization initiatives and strategic reforms in the theater of operations aimed at preparing for wars. He also briefed about the administrative and logistics reforms being undertaken for the operational purposes of the command.
