Arunachal: POCSO Court awards 20 years jail term to man for raping minor

Itanagar, Nov 11 (UNI) In a major judgment underscoring the state’s zero-tolerance policy towards sexual crimes, the Special Judge (POCSO), Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh has sentenced a man, Bomdo Tali, to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for committing a heinous sexual assault on a minor girl.
The case stemmed from an FIR lodged on November 27, 2023, by the victim, Miss A, alleging that the accused had raped her.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered at the Women Police Station, Pasighat, under Sections 342, 354B, and 376 of the IPC, read with Section 6 of the POCSO Act.

Farmers unearth 179 bullets from rat holes in Salboni
