Arunachal: RGU VC to 'continue' in office

Itanagar, Oct 3 (UNI) The Union Ministry of Education has allowed the incumbent Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University at Rono Hills (Doimukh), Arunachal Pradesh, Prof Saket Kushwaha to continue in office till his successor is appointed.
This was informed by RGU Registrar Dr NT Rikam, who was in receipt of an official communiqué, dated October 3, 2023 from the Govt of India's Ministry of Education.
The official communication regarding continuation of present RGU Vice-Chancellor, whose tenure is expiring on October 4 (Wednesday), comes amid strong opposition from the Rajiv Gandhi University Teachers’ Association and the RGU Employees’ Association, which are insisting for appointment of a new VC.
