Arunachal: Swift action by Police prevents juvenile from committing suicide

Itanagar, Dec 10 (UNI) Exhibiting prompt and courageous response, the Naharlagun Police was able to avert a potential tragedy on Wednesday by rescuing a juvenile who attempted suicide in Naharlagun’s G-Extension area.
The incident occurred around 12 pm when Naharlagun Police Station received information that a youth, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, was creating a nuisance at home and had attempted to assault his parents. A team led by Officer-in-Charge Inspector K Dev- comprising SI Nabam Tatung, head constable Punyo Tari, and constables Tame Dada, Sanu Raj T, and Debojit Borah- immediately rushed to the spot.
Upon arrival, the police team was forced to break open two doors to reach the youth, who had already attempted to hang himself. The officers acted swiftly and managed to rescue him in time.
