As talks with doctors do not materialise Bengal govt calls meeting of officials

Kolkata, Sep 12 (UNI) There were no immediate signs of an early end to doctors’ protest in West Bengal as the state government and agitating junior medics on Thursday stuck to their respective stands and preconditions to start talks.
Meanwhile, the state government on Thursday convened a high level meeting at its secretariat Nabanna where all the district magistrates and superintendents of the hospitals were present.
After two attempts by the state government to bring agitating doctors to the discussion table failed in the past two days, the protest demonstration in front of Swastha Bhavan demanding resignation of the state health secretary and his two deputies continued for the third day.
