Assam Rifles opens new skill development centre for displaced persons in Manipur

Imphal, Jan 17 (UNI) Assam Rifles inaugurated the UNAU Skill Development Centre at Khuga, Churachandpur District, today to provide structured skill training to children and young adults from displaced families residing in relief camps, offering them pathways to confidence, dignity and economic independence.
The centre, named UNAU—a word meaning “siblings” in local dialects—symbolises unity and cultural identity.
It was formally inaugurated by Regional President, Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association (ARWWA), in the presence of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), along with officials and troops of the Khuga Battalion.

Mizoram budget on Feb 26; assembly session extended to March 16
