Balasore POCSO court sentences man to 10 years RI in minor rape case

Balasore, Sep 8 (UNI) A Special POCSO Court in Balasore today convicted Sarthak Si of Alalpur village under Jaleswar police station for kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl, sentencing him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000.
In default of payment, the convict will undergo an additional six months of imprisonment, the court ordered.
According to the prosecution, the accused had abducted the girl on her way home from a computer class and later confined her in a lodge, where he committed the offence.
