Bandi Sanjay distributes 20,000 bicycles to Class 10 students in Karimnagar

Karimnagar, July 9 (UNI) Union Minister State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar launched an ambitious bicycle distribution drive for Class 10 students studying in government schools, at a grand ceremony held at Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar today.

As part of the initiative, the Minister personally procured 20,000 bicycles, which will be distributed in a phased manner—beginning with students in Karimnagar town.

Karnataka renews demand to scrap NEET, restore CET from 2026

Bengaluru, May 16 (UNI) Intensifying its opposition to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for undergraduate medical admissions (NEET-UG), the Karnataka government on Saturday urged the Centre to abolish the examination from the 2026 academic year and restore the powers of states to conduct their own Common Entrance Tests (CETs), citing repeated controversies, alleged paper leaks and growing distrust in the national testing system.

Chennai, May 16 (UNI) Six days after a 10-member Cabient headed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and TVK Founder C Joseph Vijay assumed office, portfolios were allocated on Sunday with the CM keeping Home and Women Welfare depart ments, while allotting the key portfolios of Finance and Industries to former AIADMK Minister K A Sengottaiyan and Ms S Keerthana respectively
The portfolios were allocated to the Minster by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on the recommendations of the Chief Minister,
