Bansidhar Pratihari to get Dharmapada award for 2022

Bhubaneswar, Feb 4 (UNI) Ninetyfour year old eminent painter Banshidhar Pratihari has been chosen for the prestigious Dharmapada award for 2022, Lalita Kala Akademi announced on Saturday.The award Is the highest award given by the state government to an individual for his lifetime achievement and contribution to the enrichment of visual and sculpture art.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs five lakh, a citation and a shawl.
In addition to it, the Akademi also announced the name of Brajabandhu Mishra, renowned sculptor and painter, palm leaves artist Laxmidhar Subudhi, traditional pattachitra artist Bhrambar Naik, Painter Ramesh Kumar Behera and stone artist Keshab Chandra Mahara for felicitation.
