Bihar: CM instructs to speedup plantation along JP Ganga path

Patna, June 13 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today directed officials to expedite the plantation drive along the JP Ganga Path and achieve the target of planting one lakh saplings at the earliest.
Chairing a high-level review meeting of the Water Resources Department at Sankalp Sabhagar here, the Chief Minister reviewed proposals related to the optimal use of departmental assets, development of the Ganga riverfront, modernization of irrigation department inspection houses, and promotion of tourism and heritage sites across the state. He emphasised the need to restore the ancient glory and historical identity of Pataliputra.
During the meeting, Water Resources Department Secretary Chandrashekhar Singh made a detailed presentation on the utilisation of departmental properties, the status of irrigation department inspection buildings, development plans for the Ganga riverfront, and initiatives aimed at preserving Bihar''s historical and tourism assets.
