Kolkata, Apr 22 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) all the time shouted one nation, one party, one leader, but to save lives they cannot have one price for vaccine.
Taking to her tweeter handle, Ms Banerjee said, “One nation, one party, one leader shouts BJP all the time but to save lives they can’t have one price for vaccine.”
“Every Indian needs free vaccine, regardless of age, caste, creed, location. GoI must fix ONE price for Covid vaccine irrespective of who pays— Centre or the States,” she said.
Ms Banerjee said that her government has no plans of imposing a lockdown in the state once again.
The chief minister said, “There is no question of a lockdown right now. How will people sustain their livelihood? Night curfew is also not the solution.”
Ms Banerjee said she is a veteran in politics and will not allow Bengal to go into the hands of "two goons" from Delhi.
“I am not a player, but I know how to play. I was the best player in the Lok Sabha earlier. We cannot surrender our Bengal to two goons of Delhi,” the chief minister said while addressing a public rally in Dakshin Dinajpur.
Meanwhile, Trinamool secretary general and state education minister Partha Chatterjee in a tweet said, “Can’t you hear these desperate cries for help, PM @narendramodi-ji? The same India that voted for you is now gasping for breath!”
“As Delhi HC said, it is for YOU to protect the fundamental right to life by whatever means. ACT NOW!” he added.
