Vairamuthu said the recognition “belongs not only to me but also to the Tamil language and the wider fraternity of Indian literature.”
The award was presented by noted statesman and scholar Karan Singh at a ceremony held at the Chinmaya Mission Auditorium on Monday in the presence of writers, literary figures and academicians from across the country.
