BJP to launch agitation on people’s issues: Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad, Dec 16 (UNI) Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Tuesday called upon party leaders and workers to intensify their fight on people’s issues and expressed confidence that the BJP would win the Mayor’s post whenever elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) are held.
Addressing party workers at the BJP state office here, Rao said people were increasingly looking towards the BJP and had extended support to the party in the recent local body elections. He urged cadres to draw public attention by taking up local issues and launching agitations against policies that adversely affect citizens.
The BJP chief said infrastructure problems in Hyderabad remain severe, with several localities lacking full-fledged development. He pointed to narrow roads, inadequate drinking water supply and an unplanned drainage system, alleging that even light rainfall was enough to submerge many colonies and municipal wards under the GHMC limits.
