New Delhi, Jan 13 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday accused the BJP of attempting to contest the Delhi elections through fraud and dishonesty.
Addressing a press conference, Kejriwal said, “The vote of the AAP candidate from Patparganj, Awadh Kumar Ojha, was registered in Greater Noida, he applied to transfer his vote to Delhi by filling out Form 6 on December 26, but no response was received. Later, he was informed that since his vote was already registered in Greater Noida, he needed to fill out Form 8 instead of Form 6 for the transfer. He submitted Form 8 on January 7, which was the last date as per the law.”
“According to election commission manuals, Forms 6, 7, and 8 can be submitted up to 10 days before the last date of nomination. However, the Delhi Election Officer issued an order stating January 7 as the last date for submitting Form 8. Strangely, the next day, another order was issued, stating January 6 as the final date,” he said.
