Bogus ED commissioner booked for demanding ransom from APMC director in Nashik

Nashik, May 9 (UNI) The Cyber Cell of city police have registered a complaint against a bogus Enforcement Directorate commissioner for allegedly demanding ransom from a senior director of the Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) here.
An unidentified person pretending to be ED commissioner called director Dilip Thete on Friday and threatened to launch an investigation through the Financial Crimes Branch, the Bribery and Corruption Prevention Department and ED against him based on some files of unaccounted assets in possession of him.
The officer demanded ransom for not filing a case against him.
