Calcutta High Court grants interim protection to BJP Leader Arjun Singh in multiple FIRs

Kolkata, Oct 14 (UNI) A single-judge bench of the Calcutta High Court granted interim protection from coercive action to former BJP MP Arjun Singh in connection with multiple FIRs filed against him across various police stations in West Bengal, today.

Singh, who represented the Barrackpore Lok Sabha constituency in North 24 Parganas district, had moved the court seeking relief from police action in several cases, including recent FIRs filed after his controversial remarks suggesting a possible "Nepal-like" public uprising in West Bengal.
