Cautious stand by Registration and Stamp Department after Pune Land scam exposure

Pune, Nov 12 (UNI) The Registration and Stamp Department has adopted a cautious stance after the revelation of the Pune land irregularities. All 519 sub-registration offices across Maharashtra were on Wednesday directed by government to review their registration transactions by the 5th of every month.
If any irregularities are found, the concerned officers will face action, and a report must be submitted accordingly. Additionally, the verification of documents related to exemptions and concessions in stamp duty must begin on the 5th and be completed by the 10th of every month, as per the circular issued by the Superintendent of Stamps to all Inspectors General of Registration today.
