CBI registers case against ex-Director (Mines), J'khand govt, pvt firm

New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and of the Prevention of Corruption Act against former Director, Jharkhand government, a private firm based at Kolkata and other unknown persons.
The investigative agency officials said that the case has been registered on the allegations of abuse of official position, cheating and causing undue advantage to private while allowing mining of iron-ore in village Ghattkuri, Jharkhand.
The case was registered on the notification from Jharkhand government and further notification from the Centre.
