Centre assures to make PRIs in Arunachal “vibrant and effective”

Itanagar, Oct 3 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Kapil Moreshwar Patil, who is on an official tour to Arunachal Pradesh, on Tuesday assured to make the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) in the State “vibrant and effective”.
The Union Minister gave this assurance when he called on the Arunachal Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik at Raj Bhavan here. The duo discussed strengthening of Panchayat Raj institutions in the State, a communique from the Raj Bhavan said.
During the meeting, the Governor said that “Panchayati Raj lies in grassroots democracy, local governance, inclusive and economic development, transparency and accountability”.
