Centre’s anti-Maoist push faces questions as Bastar Olympics exposes gaps in youth outreach

Raipur, Dec 12 (UNI) The central and state governments are moving ahead with an ambitious plan to eliminate Maoist insurgency in Chhattisgarh by March 31, 2026, a target repeatedly emphasized in high level security and administrative briefings.
The push is being backed by intensified operations across Bastar and parallel efforts to deepen public trust in state institutions. Yet, even as these initiatives gather momentum, concerns have surfaced regarding the treatment of young participants at the Bastar Olympics, raising doubts over the consistency of the state’s confidence-building measures in the region.

Rajasthan MoS Home suspects Congress leaders' support to perpetrators of RSSSB irregularities

Jaipur, Jan 21 (UNI) Rajasthan Minister of State (MoS) for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham said he suspects the backing and support of top leaders of the Congress party in irregularities and malpractices in the RSSSB, the state staff selection commission, during the previous Congress led government's time.
He said that the BJP government would continue to hold free and fair probe and hit hard at perpetrators of corruption and scam. Bedham was reacting to arrests of 5 accused by the Rajasthan SoG in the six-year-old case of alleged scam in three of the board's recruitment exams.
